Quiznos Lunch

We know how parents do not enjoy making lunch in the morning so why not give yourself  break and order Quiznos lunch for the last two days of school before the winter break.  The cost is $5 and Quiznos gives us a portion of the sale to support the Class of 2013.  The order form went home with students on December 6.  Please return it by December 11 if you are interested in ordering.

Bag2School Reminder

A couple of weeks ago, every student was sent home with a blue bag to fill with used clothing and textiles.  Please drop off any full bags you have this Thursday afternoon or Friday morning during your interview time. (Bags must be dropped off before noon on Friday).

The bags will be weighed and RAPT is given a cheque to support the school based on the amount we collect.

Time to clean out those closets!

Mark your Calendars

At the last RAPT meeting we set the date for the Holiday Luncheon as December 6.
If you are new to the school, the Holiday Luncheon is a social gathering of parents and teachers during the lunch period.  It is a pot luck format and the food is second to none - we have some great chefs!
Please plan to join us if you can.  Further details to follow.

Attention Grade 6 Parents

A notice went home last week regarding building a team to prepare for the Grade 6 graduation.  If you can help out please be sure to return the form to the school as soon as possible so we can get started on the plans.
Thanks to the parents who were involved with the Used Book Sale which raised funds for the Class of 2013.  With your help and the support of the Rippleton community we were able to raise $500.

Bag 2 School Program

Do you have used clothing around the house that you want to get rid of?

RAPT will be participating for the second year in a program called Bag 2 School.

As a school and a community, we will collect used clothing and textiles.  Based on weight, RAPT will receive a cheque from the organization for our donation.  The organization will then ship the clothing to developing countries.

If you would like more information on this program please see their website:
www.bag2school.com/can/about_us/

We will only have one drop off day: NOVEMBER 15th, so please save your used clothes, bedding, towels, etc. until that date to donate to the school.
