Blue Party Wristband Sales

Reminder that wristband sales will begin next Monday.  You can buy your wristband before and after school all week outside of the office for $10.  This will get you access to the carnival activities and meal at the Rippleton Blue Party on June 5th.  Be sure to get your wristbands during the Presale because the price goes up to $15 at the Blue Party.

Road Runner Updates

Our Road Runners have been doing well at the various meets and tournaments they have participated at over the past couple of weeks.

The girls soccer team won all their games at the Conference Tournament (without a single goal scored on them) and have progressed to the City Championships for the second year in a row.  This tournament will occur on June 12th.

The boys soccer team did very well at the Area Tournament and made it through to the Conference Tournament.  Unfortunately they lost their semi final game in double over time.  Super effort by our Boys!

The Area Track Meet occurred May 14th and Rippleton had an amazing showing.  We have qualified 24 students to move on to the Conference Meet to be held on May 31st.  There were a number of 1st place finishes including the very competitive Gr 6 Boys 100m!  Other 1st place finishes included: Gr 4 Girls 4x100 relay, Gr 5 Girls 400m & Gr 4 Boys 1500m.

Of course none of these results would be possible without the support of our Teacher Coaches.

Bottle Bonanza!

A great, fun way to help with our Blue Party is to donate to our Bottle Bonanza.  

Fill an empty plastic container with new fun stuff and decorate it to be sold at our BBQ! Top 3 classes with the most bottles donated win a ice cream party for their class!  All proceeds from bottles go back to the students and it is a great fun activity for them to participate!!  Examples of bottles already donated can be seen in the display case in the first floor hall.

Remember to put your name and class on the bottle so we know which classes are winning !

Blue Party Volunteers Needed

Our annual BBQ will be held on June 5th from 4:30 – 7:30 and it will be bigger and better than ever thanks to our dedicated and industrious volunteers and sponsors. There will be carnival games and inflatable bouncers as well as Toronto Fire and Police. We need a significant number of volunteers to make this event a success and enjoyable for all. We ask that you consider giving only an hour of your time during the 3 hr event to help with one of the attractions – that will ensure all volunteers get to enjoy the event with their family.
